Omar Thawabeh has a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages and Translation from Yarmouk University in Irbid Jordan, and an MA in Inter-Mediterranean Mediation from Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Paul-Valéry University of Montpellier, where he presented a thesis on the Lebanese diva Fayrouz and her representation in media during the Lebanese Civil War. He is currently pursuing the Media Studies graduate program at the American University of Beirut.
