Professor of Sociology, she is the director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Islam in the Contemporary World (CISCOW) at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) since 2008. At the same university, she is the academic responsible for the continuing education in “Religious Sciences: Islam”, and since 2015, she has held the Chair Baillet-Latour Islams contemporains. Her works deal with Belgian and European Islam, political Islam, and the relationships between Muslims and non-Muslims.
