Demetrios G. Papademetriou has been President and Co-Founder of the Migration Policy Institute (MPI), a Washington-based think tank dedicated to the study of international migration, until July 1, 2014 when he began a six-month study sabbatical. He is also President of MPI Europe. He convenes both the Transatlantic Council on Migration and the North American Regional Migration Study Group. He has published more than 250 books, articles and reports on migration topics and regularly advises senior government and political party officials in many countries.
