Researcher, journalist and writer, he has been living in Africa for over ten years, where he has worked as researcher at the Human Rights Watch (HRW) and analysist for the International Crisis Group (ICG), an institution for which he wrote, among others things, the briefing Eritrea: Ending the Exodus?, and the report Central Sahel: A Perfect Sandstorm. He published the novel La vita è brutale e poi muori (“Life is brutal, and then you die”, Mondadori, 2015). He collaborates with different governmental and non-governmental international organizations, working primarily on Sub-Saharan Africa, in particular on religious radicalization among the youth, migration phenomena and criminal networks.
