He was born in 1967 and was ordained a priest in 1992. In 2005 he was awarded his doctorate of research in theology and patristic studies for a thesis entitled L’Explanatio Psalmorum XII di Ambrogio: una proposta di lettura unitaria. He has been a doctor of the Ambrosian Library since 2007 and Director of the Class of Slavic Studies at the Ambrosian Academy since 2009
