Researcher at the CNRS (France) and at the Institut français du Proche-Orient (Jordan), he is currently working on a number of researches on the different forms of settlements of Syrian refugees in Jordan, and on the urbanization process of the Palestinian camps in Lebanon. The comparative study of the refugees inside and outside the camps, as well as the analysis of their paths, are developed in such a way as to account for the socio-spatial dynamics generated by the refugees, and to comprehend the relationships between camps and cities.
