Research Associate of the Institute of Ismaili Studies and managing editor for Shi‘i Heritage Series. In 2010 she obtained a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She is the author of Free Will and Predestination in Islamic Thought: Theoretical Compromises in the Works of Avicenna, Ghazālī and Ibn ‘Arabī (Routledge, 2013). Her research interests encompass Islamic theology and philosophy, the Qur’an, Islamic spirituality and mysticism, Shi‘i Islam and Ismaili philosophy.
