He was born in Cerro (province of Milan) in 1945. He entered the Salesian Congregation at a very early age and has been assigned to the Middle East since 1961, working in various countries in the Region. Ordained a priest in Jerusalem and holding degrees in Philosophy and Theology, he teaches theology and carries out pastoral work. He took part, as an expert, in the Bishops’ Synod for the Middle East (2010). He is the author of numerous publications devoted to theology, ecumenism and pastoral challenges.
