She earned his PhD in Sociology at the Graduate School in Social, Economic and Political Sciences -University of Milan in 2013. She has been a researcher at the International and European Forum on Migration Research of Turin since 2008, and regional editor for the Piedmont (Italy) of the Immigration Report of Caritas/Migrantes since 2013. She worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI).
