Francis Balle

Francis Balle is a professor at the Panthéon-Assas University (Paris 2) where he created a DEA in media and multimedia in 1985 and a DESS in communication and multimedia in 1999. He is also head of the Institute of Communications Research and Studies. Since 1981 he has been visiting professor at the University of Stanford (California). In August 2004 he was appointed a member of the governing board of Radio France. He has recently published Les Medias (series: Que sais-je, PUF, 2004, 128pp.); Medias et sociétés (éd. Montchrestien, 2005, 650pp.); and Dictionnaire du Web with Laurent Cohen-Tanugi (éd. Dalloz, 2001).
