Luisa Ribolzi was full professor of Sociology of Education at the University of Genoa until she retired in 2010. She has specialised in the institutional aspects of education: organisational models, the public/ private relationship, the evaluation of systems, the professional grounding of teachers, the relationship between schools and the job market. She has taken part in various ministerial committees since 1995 and is the president of the scientific committee of the Excelsior Project. From 2007 until 2011 she represented Italy in the Governing Board of the OCSE / CERI.
